Job Description:

                                                                            Accounting Manager

Our client, a highly recognized food manufacturer, currently interviewing qualified candidates to join their Finance department.

The Accounting Manager will manage all functions of the accounting department. This will include leading monthly close processes, conducting financial reporting, and forecasting. Other tasks involve budgeting and issuing reports related to annual compliance. This person will be responsible for providing leadership to the accounts receivable/payable teams and ensuring the smooth daily operations of the accounting department.

Duties include maintaining close schedules, preparing and posting journal entries, and coordinating the completion of balance sheet analysis and account reconciliations. This person will also perform revenue and expenditure variance analysis, produce consolidated financial statements, and coordinate month and year-end close processes. Other tasks involve assisting with managing cash, reviewing and preparing check runs, preparing daily cash reconciliation and forecasts, and assisting with lender communications.

This person will report to the Controller and work with other department leads to develop and manage KPIs and month financial reports.

Qualifications Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  
• CPA preferred.
  
• Previous experience with ERP implementation and development of material replenishment systems.
  
• Five or more years of experience in professional accounting experience; management experience; food manufacturing background preferred.
  
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
  
• Knowledge of bookkeeping & accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data, problem solve, research policies & accounting procedures.
