Job Description:

                                                                          Benefits Specialist

Our client is a third party administrator of Union Benefit funds based in Downers Grove, and is committed to providing plan participants with exceptional customer service. This company is currently interviewing qualified candidates as a Benefits Specialist.

 
The Benefits Specialist will be responsible for employee benefits. This individual will regularly meet with participants to answer questions related to their pension benefits, communicate with other Fund Professionals.

 
Duties include calculating pension payment amounts, providing participants with benefit estimates, and processing pension applications. This person will explain pension benefits to participants, interpret and follow the rules outlined in Plan Documents, draft correspondence to participants and answer incoming participant calls relating to the Pension Plans.


Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s Degree or experience in related field.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  
• Previous pension experience preferred.
  
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  
• Travel may be required up to 5%.
