                                                                   Bookkeeper (Part Time)

Our client, a nonprofit organization located in the North Shore suburbs, is interviewing qualified candidates to join their team as a part-time Bookkeeper.

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for recording financial accounts and records on a cash basis.  

This person will prepare and record payroll (monthly and bimonthly) and generate financial reports to reflect all activities. Additional duties involve handling accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts and general bookkeeping. This person should also expect to assist with general office activities.

The ideal candidate will must be prompt, accurate, and organized. Excellent planning and communication skills are essential as this person will also be communicating with members.

Qualifications Include:


  • Minimum of 2-year Associate’s degree in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of related experience
  • Proficiency of all phases of receivables, payables, reconciliation of bank accounts and journal entries
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving skills, negotiation, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
