Job Description

                                                                   Financial System Lead

Our client is one of the nation’s leading manufacturing companies, based in the Milwaukee area. This employer is currently interviewing qualified candidates for a key position on their Finance team.

The Financial System Lead will be responsible for supporting a Product Manager/Product Owner in process improvements and new initiatives that leverage the SAP system, system configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and training activities. This person will serve as a liaison to the Digital Office and be involved in the global rollout of the Company's SAP Financial applications. This individual will work within the SAP ECC systems and have primary responsibility for supporting FICO, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury processes.

Duties include monitoring product quality, project timeliness, and customer satisfaction. This person will develop creative system alternatives in support of Finance modernization, ensuring ERP systems are utilized to their fullest and that financial controls are built into the project deliverables. This individual will seek out opportunities for new system functionality for better alignment to business processes.


The Financial System Lead will act as an expert on the details of the Order To Cash and Source To Pay. Additionally, this person will understand integration in areas such as order of building customer-facing mobile solutions, have experience working with JIRA and create Epics/user stories. This role will require a working knowledge of agile framework in business or technology.

 
Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • Five or more years of related experience working with SAP systems support with hands-on experience with at least two large implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance, as well as practical knowledge of SAP Finance modules.
  • Knowledge of core financials and operational business processes such as General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bank and Cash Management, Financial Reporting and Manufacturing Costing - Balance sheet and profit/loss statement and ERP functionalities.
  • Knowledge of business process design, system configuration, Master Data Management, Controls, formal application testing, incident handling procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; effectively work within a group or team and provide guidance.
