Administrative Specialist

Our client is a municipal department in the Milwaukee area. This company is currently interviewing qualified candidates to join their team as an Administrative Specialist.

The Administrative Specialist will be responsible for providing support to individuals applying for various housing programs. This individual will respond to routine and non-routine program inquiries from applicants and others.


  • Responding to inquiries.
  • Screening applicants.
  • Performing rent calculations.
  • Verifying applicant information, and performing standard office tasks.
  • Review documents for accuracy, prepare/send mail, provide customer service to applicants.
  • Screen applicants for initial eligibility for housing programs.
  • Processes applications.
  • Collect and verify employment, landlord, and related applicant information to ensure accuracy and completeness of housing program applications.

Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
  • 1-3 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of eligibility requirements of housing programs; programs/services of an assigned area, application requirements, standard mathematical concepts, customer service principles.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills; Spanish bilingual skills.
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions.
