This company is currently interviewing qualified candidates to join their team as a Purchasing Specialist.

The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Procurement Manager with all tasks related to purchasing and vendor management. This will include preparing purchase orders, reviewing contracts, and communicating with vendors or suppliers.


Other duties will include processing certificates of insurance documents, preparing bids documents, and assisting with processing payroll. This person will also work with vendors to find resolutions to billing issues, recommend vendors based on contract bids, and reviewing purchase orders for accuracy.

 

Qualifications Include:


  • Two or more years of experience in a purchasing role, or equivalent education and experience
  • Knowledge of purchasing methods and regulations such as bid processes and vendor review
  • Proficiency in MS Excel including creating Pivot tables and formulas
  • Understanding of payroll processing
