Job Description:

                                                               Quality Assurance Assistant Director

Our client is a privately held food manufacturing company. Due to rapid growth, this employer is interviewing candidates to join their team as the Quality Assurance Assistant Director.

This person will be responsible for assuring consistent quality of production by monitoring and enforcing good manufacturing practices (GMP), monitoring critical control points (CCPs), and product quality testing. This involves performing incoming raw material and finished product quality inspections.

Additional tasks involve performing various quality inspections, ensuring the effective operation of production line metal detectors, and initiating corrective actions. Other duties include verifying information printed on finished products, including proper code dates, and holding/retaining questionable or out-of-specification products for further analysis.

Qualifications Include:

• Prior experience in the food processing industry
  
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  
• Strong knowledge of production, food safety, good manufacturing practices.
  
  • HACCP
    
  • FSMA Preventive Controls
    
  • PrimusGFS
    
• Ability to work in a cold, wet environment (38°F/4°C).
  
• Knowledge of math, chemistry, food safety, good manufacturing practices, good laboratory practices, contamination principles.
  
• Good verbal and written communication skills; organizational skill, attention to detail.
