Job Description:

                                                                    Quality Assurance Manager

Our client, a highly recognized food manufacturer, currently interviewing qualified candidates for a top-level position on their leadership team.

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that products meet USDA standards and managing the employees within the QA department. This involves assigning daily workloads, training staff, handling performance reviews, and goal setting. The QA Manager will oversee all quality assurance functions for the department.

Other responsibilities include writing policies and procedures, training quality assurance technicians/label specialists, and managing audits by third party inspectors. This person will handle any issues related to the SQF customer complaint processes and the corrective actions with operations personnel. This individual will provide timely, accurate and relevant quality data and analysis to the QA Director.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Food Science or equivalent.
  • Five or more years of experience in a food manufacturing setting, overseeing associates and shifts.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) helpful.
  • Leadership experience in a USDA regulated meat processing environment.
  • HACCP Certified or working toward HACCP Certified; SQF Practitioner, Lean/Six Sigma, SSOP, USDA regulations and GMP requirements.
