Job Description:

                                                            Quality Assurance Technician (First Shift)

Our client, a highly recognized food manufacturer, currently interviewing qualified candidates to join their Quality department.

Working in the lab and plant settings, the Quality Assurance Technician will audit the facilities and processes for compliance. This includes investigating any issues found with product samples and determining corrective actions.

Duties include managing sanitation inspections, calibrating lab equipment and performing chemical testing for products. This individual will create and update spreadsheets, maintaining accurate information in the data management system. Other tasks involve reporting statistics to supervisors and government officials, reviewing labels to ensure that features are correct, and following USDA guidelines.

 
Qualifications Include:


  • Previous experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Inspection in the food industry
  • Understanding of USDA regulations
  • Willingness to work additional hours as needed, including some Saturdays
  • Proficiency using MS Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to obtain HACCP and SQF certifications within 12 months of hire
