Job Description:

                                                                     2nd Shift Supervisor

Our client, a highly recognized food manufacturer, currently interviewing qualified candidates as a Second Shift Supervisor.

The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for reviewing and implementing efficient processes and recommending measures to improve production methods. This person will also evaluate equipment, performance, utilization of people, and quality of product. This will include reviewing production, operating reports, resolving operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. This person will plan production schedules based on the status of production and materials including to update and communicate them.

Other responsibilities include training employees, completing production paperwork, and maintaining documentation (timecards, vacation requests, quality records, etc.). Additional duties involve prioritizing, scheduling, and delegating work assignments while directly supervising the systems integration/test functions. The Floor Supervisor will focus on meeting company performance standards, customer specification, and delivery requirements.

The ideal candidate will work closely with other areas of production on various assignments and supervise the assigned shift operations – ensuring the achievement of production objectives at the lowest cost consistent with the company quality standards. They will also observe workers to ensure compliance with standards, and develop/revise and communicates standard operational and working practices.


Qualifications:

• High School Diploma; Associates Degree preferred.
  
• Five or more years of experience in a manufacturing setting overseeing multiple teams and shifts with over 50 employees on schedule
  
• Prior experience in the food manufacturing industry, including overseeing associates
  
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish helpful;
  
• Experience with time management systems, working with GMPs, in a production environment with USDA.
