Our client is a non-profit organization that provides support and opportunities to people with special needs in the community. They are currently seeking a Café Manager who thrives in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.

The Café Manager will lead the team to exceed customer expectations and ensure that the café is a place where everyone feels comfortable, accepted, and “at home.”

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, managing interactions with customers and staff.
  • Oversee daily café operations, ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and manage the team of baristas, providing training, coaching, and feedback.
  • Manage inventory of café supplies.
  • Oversee café catering orders.
  • Create and maintain café schedules, including managing schedule changes and time-off requests.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Assist in leading bi-weekly café meetings, promoting teamwork and participation.
  • Attend all team meetings as an engaged member.
  • Promote the development of new menu ideas and ensure recipe adherence.
  • Mentor and work alongside employees with special needs.

Qualifications:

  • Prior leadership and food management experience.
  • Serve Safe certification (can be obtained after hire).
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Positive demeanor, especially during busy times.
  • Ability to multitask and solve problems with a “can do” approach.
