The HVAC Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in general repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and electronic controls. This person will be at the forefront of ensuring the optimal performance of commercial HVAC systems, collaborating with a supportive team of skilled professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain electronic motors, starters, wiring fuses, protective devices and controls, heating, cooling, and ventilating equipment.
  • Repair and replace HVAC equipment, including air handling units, cooling towers, chillers, boilers, and related controls.
  • Install heating and air-conditioning equipment, and provide diagnostic or repair services for climate control systems
  • Attend assigned training sessions, workshops, labs, and in-house coursework.
  • Respond immediately to building maintenance emergencies.
  • Assist with the continued development of the building mechanical preventative maintenance program.
  • Occasionally on-call after hours to handle emergency service requests.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent in HVAC field (installation and repair of HVAC equipment).
  • 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance and repair of HVAC/Refrigeration equipment.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety procedures and regulations, and proficiency with tools and equipment used in HVAC maintenance.
  • CFC certification from the EPA.
  • Valid driver’s license at time of appointment and throughout employment.
