We are seeking a vibrant and skilled professional to join our client’s team as a full-time Civil Utility Design Engineer. Responsibilities:
- Produce civil engineering designs for various sectors including energy and utilities, higher education, medical, science and technology, commercial, hospitality, and public facilities.
- Collaborate with fellow civil engineers, site design professionals, and permitting specialists.
- Prepare civil engineering designs encompassing project planning, utility system layout and analysis, site grading, erosion control plans, and related features.
- Manage client relationships and projects, from scoping to contracting and beyond.
- Develop construction plans, specifications, and bidding documents.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of wastewater and sewer system engineering design.
- Exhibit familiarity with water supply and main system engineering design.
The ideal candidate will excel in technical aspects and demonstrate skill in selling the services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
- Willingness to travel overnight for meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections, etc.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience as a Design Engineer or Project Manager for municipal infrastructure projects.
- Previous involvement in project proposal preparation and client service management.
- Ability to travel between multiple locations in the Southeastern Wisconsin area.
